The Directorate of Human Rights, Government of Sindh request the Inspector General of Police, Sindh and The Director General Rangers on 29-03-2024.
It is submitted that Priya Kumari was forcibly abducted by unknown miscreants on the 19th of August 2021 from Sukkur Region, which is against Law and Rules of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the mother of Priya Kumari, Veena Kumari, and her father Raj Kumar are currently enduring immense mental trauma as a result of their daughter’s disappearance, they are seeking to doors of the justice that was not being provided by Sindh Police timely. Despite their anguish and numerous appeals for assistance for the safe recovery of their girl received by her father Mr. Raj Kumar, that is a very painful situation, that the parents of Priya Kumari have expressed dissatisfaction and lost hope in justice and the level of compliance with safe recovery of their child, showed by the Sindh Police in the last 4 years Unfortunately, no quick action has been taken and no whereabouts of an innocent girl have been excavated.
However, Minorities struggle for their rights, respect, and identity has become an uphill battle, forcibly abduction, forced conversions, and marriages have aggravated the situation to horror for minorities. The Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh has addressed issues/complaints of all types of Human Rights violations and collected the information/reports from the Department / Agencies to share with the Government of Pakistan for further necessary action as per rules and law.
Therefore, it is requested that kindly take necessary actions on the matter immediately, and full proof security may be provided to the parents of the abducted girl. The Inspector General of Police, Sindh is requested to take help from Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Pakistan Rangers for the safe recovery of the abducted innocent girl and conduct a high level inquiry on delay to provide justice on the subject matter. The Inspector General of Police, Sindh is requested that please share the detailed reports/outcomes of the subject matter 10 days to this department for further necessary action as per rules and law.
