It is stated that Sindh Prisons & Corrections Service (SP&CS) is keen to integrate sustainable energy solutions within its facilities / offices to enhance operational efficiency and environmental sustainability. In line with this objective, the SP&CS propose the installation of Solar Power Systems at the following prison facilities and regional offices under the Sindh Solar Energy Project (SSEP) — an initiative of the Government of Sindh and World Bank.
Prison facilities are pivotal institutions requiring reliable power sources for operational continuity. The installation of Solar Power Systems at these sites would signify a significant infrastructural enhancement, aligning with the broader objectives of the SSEP and contributing to the resilience of our institutional framework. Therefore Inspector General of Sindh Prisons requested to the Project Director, Sindh Solar Energy Project (SSEP), Karachi to depute a technical team to visit these facilities / offices an carryout a need assessment for the installation of Solar Power Systems at the following facilities offices.
